The business fabric of any country should not just stimulate and support the creation and sustainability of high quality employment but also promote the professional development of new generations entering into the existing employment market, improving their possibilities and opportunities.

University is a rich source for companies looking for new and fresh talent, but it is often detected and highlighted that the skills acquired by the students do not match the reality of the companies, nor the required competencies. Thus, it is essential for universities and companies to work together in creating and running mechanisms allowing them to enrich themselves and find a balance point.

This is why Qumram wants to contribute to the social development of its community collaborating with the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia) through its program “UPC Alumni”. It is committed to offer to students and ex-students a package of services and resources intended to facilitate their interaction and the creation of professional networks.

We want to meet students, talk to them and show them how works an established company with hands on experiences. We want to present them what we do and how we do it, what are our requirements, why we need such skills, what we look for, what we expect from them… and give them as many tools as possible to when entering on the professional environment as successfully as possible.

Let’s do great things together!

Qumram + UPC
